Posted: 16:24 - 17 Feb 2015 Post subject: Bike Stolen... BCF Massive help?! |
 |
|
Short version - A bike has been stolen with the car parking company being a bit dodgy...
Would love for BCF to get behind him and out this company on FB and get the pressure on - Q-Park GB
Said bike:
https://i1355.photobucket.com/albums/q704/joshsilverman/10872721_10155237406110327_3833634913346798581_o_zps7b96ad27.jpg
Facts -
The cameras in the Area are not working.
They removed my posters appealing for witnesses - Refused to let me put up posters offering a reward for information. Saying I had to speak to HQ, who I have left messages for.
They Removed poster from MY second bike asking for the bike NOT TO BE TOUCHED as it was moved during a crime scene and was going to be fingerprinted.
THEY THEN MOVED THE BIKE!!!!!!! This has meant the Police can no longer fingerprint the bike! - you tampered with Evidence!!!!!!
They have CCTV of the van entering but refuse to give me any details to pass onto the police. And the police are busy and so take 2-5 days to collect it. (this is understandable to a point - but it would have been good to be more helpful)
You have a night watchman/woman who has not come forward from that evening?
The full story from the guy who had it stolen:
BIKE UPDATE 15 FEB - PLEASE SHARE - STOLEN!!!

I don't do Facetweeting, but I will note that Q-Park use the following in their marketing:
"safe and secure facilities"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3g9ir0zSpw#t=34
"safety is paramount to Q-Park's ethos and extensive security features such as CCTV systems are built into [our] facilities"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3g9ir0zSpw#t=87
Doubtless more if you want to keep searching.

Blurb. If it's "proved" then they have no choice in "accept[ing] liability", or the extent of it.
They market their services as secure, and they have failed in the very areas which they use to promote themselves. At the very least I'd be invoicing them for the excess, and consequent costs including increased premium.
Nothing changes until it costs more to do it wrong than to do it right. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

I edited my post on their BookFace page.
| Quote: | You need to address this before you get a bad name. Bike Chat Forums is Britain's largest motorbike forum. https://goo.gl/N2IHtp
Time is a factor when tracing the location of a stolen vehicle, more-so when it is a motorbike.
As the amount of time increases, the chance of recovery decreases.
Victim:- "They (Q-Park GB) have CCTV of the van entering but refuse to give me any details to pass onto the police."
I would have thought that you would do anything you can to help trace a motorbike that was stolen from one of your "safe and secure facilities".
I would also like to draw your attention to :-
"safety is paramount to Q-Park's ethos and extensive security features such as CCTV systems are built into [our] facilities" |

Not that it matters as they'll just have lifted it away and then gone non-medieval on its hasp later, but SS65C picked in 40 seconds. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
