First off find the starter solenoid and bridge the heavy terminals. If the starter now turns it's not at fault. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

Did the engine turn over when you tried to bump start it?
I think it sounds more like a starter motor problem, so can you feel the starter motor and the wire that goes between the starter solenoid and the starter motor - are they getting hot when you press the start button?
If you have a multi-meter, try checking the battery voltage before and after trying to start the bike, and let us know what readings you get. ____________________ Honda Varadero XL125(V8)

Well got home today tried to start my bike again started first time!?
I believe it was a loose connection on the clutch switch, pulled off the connectors gave them a clean and pushed back on started first time every time,
Really annoyed that I didn't read up on this first before having to commute to London on a train the last few days. Anyway back on the old girl in the morning .
Thanks for your replies all.
Happy biking
Best regards. |
