Trying to get the Deauville back on the road after been sat up over winter, but it wont start.

Put in new fresh fuel, checked the fuel switch, battery is fine (was on charger over winter), and checked side stand sensor (cleaned it). The bike is turning over but wont kick into life....

Anything else you can suggest?

Have you drained the carburetors? Is the choke working? Do you happen to own ether (starter spray)?

Didn't drain carbs. Choke is fine. Not sure - all my fluids are at the back of the garage which I cannot get to at the moment because the garage is a fucking tip. Luckily the Deauville was at the front door, albeit covered in sawdust and looking sorry for itself.

Pull some fresh fuel through the carbs and then give it a go.

Pull plugs. Quick clean and drop of fuel down bore, try again.

Same problem on my gsx750,
Changed the fuel in the tank but didn't drain the carbs.
Put the choke on full, fully opened the throttle then cranked the engine a few times. This obviously flooded it so gave it a few mins then put the choke on again left the throttle alone pushed the starter and away it went.
Sounded a bit rough for a min or two but soon cleared and runs fine now. Thumbs Up
