anyone give me any advice on this, tailgate light is on but doesnt brighten when braking.

done just changed it now no change its got two filaments also.

all other lights are fine also

The 2nd filament, does it come on:

Never.
When the front brake is applied.
When the rear brake is applied.
On closer examination, might it be on all the time?

Just checked now both are lit and stay lit don't change if applying brakes
Blinded ATM
This bike just keeps getting better

One of your brakelight switches may be stuck on
if so, probly the rear one as these tend to get covered in shite
disconnect in turn to test

Make sure the stop/tail bulb is in the right way round - sometimes it's possible to insert the bulb incorrectly by 180° so the brake light is on when the tail light should be lit, and when you apply the brake, it doesn't look any different.

Also, check your manual for adjustment of the rear brake light switch - most bikes have an adjustment on the back, but not the front.

WD you was right...hook wasnt connected right putting constant pressure on switch.
All sorted now.

Tried the bulb but only goes in one way ...

Thank you all!!!! Saved me a headache
