Right, rear shock shat itself on the way home destroying the bottom bump stop.

What rear shock will fit in relatively easy and be decent for 2up work.

I have read GSXR 1000 K7/8, CBR600RR, R6 08 (with mod to fit bushes which I cant do at home)

Can't afford a new shock and MOT is due 11th of April

Doesn't seem to be much on eBay that I have seen

I've fitted Gsxr1000 K7-K8 shocks to all my bandits so far. Can be had for around £60-£90 on ebay US. You just need to space the dog bones out by 2mm on each side, as the spring is wider. And cut away some of the plastic under the battery box.

The one I put on my 600 2 years ago was a vast improvement over standard and is still going strong now. As a side note the gsxr shock jacks the back end up by around 35mm so it's works best with standard dog bones.

I have a shit mk1 bandit shock in my pile of parts. It's a bit spongey and scabby but it might get you by for a while and is yours for free if you want it.

R6 shock fits nicely, you just need to find a bit of pipe to make two spacers from. I paid £45 for one from someone on here & it was still on my Mk1 600 when sold.
