Is Hardly a Davidson having a laugh again? Thinking

Air cooled, 1,996cc, V-twin four stroke, doing about 106hp and 158Nm of torque. 58mm throttle body. The engine only fits into the ''Touring'' frame.

All that for 5,695USD or 5,582GBP for the European market.

I wonder what you'd get if you handed a 1200 and £5500 to a tuner and said "surprise me".

Some slashcuts, a cone filter and £5250 worth of studs and tassels.

I don't quite get their marketing. Yes, some Yankee patriot will pay 5,695 dollars for a 'murican made engine for his 'murican made bike, but the rest of this planet won't.

Supercharger and a pocketful of change?

A new SV, some track days and orders to take the harley away now?

A tatty R6, and a spare one for when you drop it, some track days, and photoshoot of a cheap hooker abusing the harley?

Traded harley in for a new R1, but put tassley bar ends on R1?

No there's even stupid people in other parts of the world that would pay for that engine.
HD's aren't about the bike but the look and that will look better than the standard engine.

And why does nobody design tractors for aerodynamic efficiency?

I don't care how expensive or not it is, If I wanted an engine that looked similar to this but better, then my money would be going to S&S instead.

If there was more Hi-Po parts and industry around the supposedly inferior sounding big Jap V2's, then I would buy one of these instead.

I think having an engine with Yoshimura, Orient Express, and Mr Turbo parts fitted, is much cooler than Screaming Eagle written on the side! Laughing

Call me ignorant, but what's different about the S&S engines? Thinking

It's like saying you'd rather have Kawasaki KLV 1000 rather than Suzuki DL 1000. Thinking
