Just had a 'blade in, a '97 carby. Owner told me it was pissing coolant once hot.
Sure enough, as soon as it got up to temp, water started dripping from the bottom of the fairing. Took off cap, had a quick check, looked fine.
Filled it up again, giving it a good session of burping to clear any air pockets. Ran it up for a while, did a sniff test, no head-gasket problems.
Replaced cap, ran it up until the fan cycled a few times, all was well.
Let it cool a bit, took off cap to top up, replaced cap, ran it up, water pissing out again.
Longish story cut short. The caps sealing rubber had a minute split. put the cap on one way, it sealed, put it on the other way round, it pissed coolant. New cap fitted, all is well. Never seen that before! ____________________ The CBR900RR has been sold. Aprilia Falco worms its way into my heart.

Yea that's an odd one, albeit a nice easy fix.
I once had brake lights permanently on. Only after taking the whole rear end off the bike and looking for shorts did I actually look at the stop/tail bulb. Both filaments were touching... Doh!
