are you saying the engine dies when the steering is turned??

do any light stop working when the steering is turned??

I presume there is lots of petrol in the tank.........and the wires from frame to headlamp/head stock are not being or have been trapped and mangled......

It would also help to know the circumstances leading up to this problem - like, has it always done this, or started doing it after some event, such as having the bike worked on, changing a part, or having a spill?

So far, my guess would be dodgy wiring around the CDI or ignition switch.

I read it as: dies between gears at idle with the clutch pulled in, when riding at slow speeds (i.e. low revs).

Weak spark, bad fuelling, hooky valve clearances, goblins. INSUFFICIENT DATA FOR MEANINGFUL ANALYSIS.

No, 900 rpm is normal.

Not massive milage but a valve clearence check wouldn't hurt.

Restore it to standard. Sounds like someone has tried to tune it, to the detriment of the bottom end.
