As title suggests maximum ram my motherboard can hold?
HP - M2N68-LA (Narra 6)
Manual: https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c01925534
OS - Windows 7 Professional x64
Current Ram - 3GB Total = 1x2GB, 1x1GB (as far as I'm aware PC ram runs with the "weakest chain in the link method" ie; my pc is only running as fast as the 1GB stick allows it to, so as you can imagine being a few years old it's a little outdated and on the slower side in terms of performance with basic games, photoshop, rendering videos in sony vegas etc).
I've found RAM that ebuyer sells 8GB = 2x4GB that meets all the requirements on the motherboard specs (NON-ECC, Unbufferd etc) but don't want to purchase if it turns out to be overkill and the motherboard can only handle 4GB.
RAM - https://www.ebuyer.com/274336-corsair-8gb-ddr3-1333mhz-memory-cmv8gx3m2a1333c9
So in summary, the pc spec sheet confuses me and doesn't tell me the max ram on x64 systems, ideas?

Short answer is sort of / sometimes.
Long answer is - it depends on what HDD controller / chipset your old board had.
Chances are, if it was an INTEL based chipset and the new one is ... and you were running in SATA non raid mode .... you *might* get lucky.
Anything else is blind luck and if it works, great. I'd prepare yourself for a reinstall at worst
Long as the cards etc are the same board connectors, physically you should be fine as long as you didn't buy a full size ATX board for a baby ATX case ....... ____________________ 2017 Z1000SX
