Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help with a problem I am having with my 2005 CBR600F.

The problem started around a week ago when I got home from work and turned the bike off whilst I went to unlock the garage. Upon returning and attempting to start the bike I realised that it would start, however, the engine would cut as soon as I took my finger off the starter.
After closer inspection I realised that the FI weren't priming in addition to the high beam indication light on the instrument panel coming on, all four indicators were also steady on. Looking at the front of the bike I could see that the dipped beam light was not turning on with the ignition, so I replaced the bulb and then the bike ran as normal until today.

This morning upon attempting to start the bike the same things happened; no fuel injectors priming, high beam indicator light etc. Fortunately I had another spare bulb so switched it out, being very careful not to touch the bulb, and headed out to work. Upon finishing work however, the same thing happened again. Taking the bulb out in the car park meant that I could start the bike as normal and get home.

Does anyone know of the cause of this issue? I have had dipped beam bulbs blow before and the bike has started and ran fine. Also upon replacing both bulbs today I noticed that both still looked fine and like they hadn't blown, which confuses me any more. Confused

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Maybe corrosion in the lamp fitting or a chaffing wire?

Ecu fault?

Dyslexia?

Haha apologies for the poor phrasing, I didn't proof read.

Good shout on the chaffing wire! I remember some coming loose from the loom that I thought I slotted back but may have come undone again. I shall take a look to see if this is the case.
What is the reasoning behind chaffing wires causing problems, is it basically shorting the circuit? Electric is like some sort of black magic to me
