Posted in new bikers - coz that's what it feels like...
Finally found the right bike, good price and seemingly genuine seller
https://i972.photobucket.com/albums/ae205/zark_photos/fazer.jpg
03 Fazer, 27k on the clock. Had restrictors fitted when i picked it up which i spent a couple of hours on Saturday taking them straight out. (if anyone wants to buy 4 washers?)
For a 'first big bike' i am awesomely happy with it - took an 87 mile ride home with it and first commute today.
Brilliantly responsive - just need to get used to the clutch to save the noob over-revving when pulling away.
The picture is from the ebay ad - can't be arsed to take any of my own - i'm too busy just riding the thing!
Love it love it love it. ____________________ CBT - Oct 13. Theory - July 14. Mod 1 & 2 - June 15.
Rides a Fazer like an idiot... Edit: Now ride a Fazer Thou... |

it's got the twin lamps (fox-eye?) - and they've been wired together so both the low beams are on together...
the bulbs look decidedly budget though - so am toying with the idea of hids (hiding the ballast in the fairing somewhere) or just a decent bulb... i get a bit of wobble in the whole nose cone - not sure if it's normal or there's something not done up somewhere. don't want to shake the bulbs to death! (the nose cone was replaced after a spill by the last owner)
much prefer the look of them both being on together though. ____________________ CBT - Oct 13. Theory - July 14. Mod 1 & 2 - June 15.

Shouldn't be any wobble, best have a check on the fastenings. ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

Another thing to keep an eye on is where the downpipes join underneath the gearbox, the collector area is extremely prone to rust, and once it starts blowing it will disintegrate very quickly. I replace mine with these https://www.blackwidowexhausts.co.uk/downpipes-306-c.asp, which are about the cheapest option. Getting the manifold nuts off is a nightmare if they've rusted as well. ____________________ They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa, hey-hey,

You'd definitely recommend the Foxeye over the original (with a headlight mod)? What's improved on the facelift? |
