not new to biking but didn't feel like this fit anywhere else!

ive been looking in to buying a ybr as a daily commuter and i was just wondering if anyone had experience with there engine bar's like are they worth the extra £50 to buy and fit? i will be riding during the rough winter months and im considering investing

also second question

should i go for Carb'd or fuel injection obviously there's not much difference in price but ive only ever had carb'd bikes never had a problem with them but it might be better in the long run if i go fuel injected? due to all of them past 2007 being fuel injected

reason for choosing the ybr as a commuter is obvious £107 a year fully comp with every extra you can think of Smile

but yeah sorry for the annoying questions!

Cheer's

Mines is an 08 plate injection.
Also has front bars. Ridden through last 2 winters and thankfully not had an off.
Good to have , just in case.

Would go for an injection before a carb. Just because it saves hassle.

Bars are handy to put feet up on when it is really wet. Saves the worst of rain hitting feet and bottom of legs.

And get gaitors on forks , and fender extender if riding through winter.

When you mis-foot and the thing goes down, you'll apreciate that £50 investment in engine bars. Definitely on my lift of 'useful' accessories, along with a rack, and security chain.

Carbed vs Injection?
I'd go carbed for choice. I can strip and clean and make a carb work without a computer; so can any back-street bodger; efi may be less likely (remains in doubt still) to give jip, but more likely to be a pain to fix.

Hi skyliner, I've been looking in to getting engine bars for my YBR - can only seem to find them around the £70 not fitted sort of mark. Where have you found them for £50 fitted?

Cheers

It's a single downtube with a through-bolt at the bottom - pretty much any universal bars that clamp around the tube will fit or can be made to fit.

FI over carb for a utility bike. Ignore Spergers, FI doesn't go wrong, carbs do.
