Pragmatically it probably is helping you more than it's harming you.
You're a prick for doing it though, so I won't be too upset if it does end up harming you. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Depends, do you like looking at a big, red fog light all the time?
Because that's what you will be looking at for a long time if you follow my van on your 125 with your high beams on. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

lol fair enough, i thought it was quite common as everyone seems to do it commuting in london especially the big bikes :/ followed a friend in his car yesterday to see if he thought they were blinding and he didnt think so.
even my instructor told me its best to have high beams on during the summer when it is bright out, that is the only reason I have been riding with them on during the sunny days we have been having, if it is dark or raining i dont.
either way probably best not to as seems the general consensus |

fair enough got the point will keep them off for now
its actually the big bikes that have them on 600-1L bikes, most scooters round here have broken lights.
i commute in central london and i would say these past few weeks 4 out of 5 big bikes i see have the full beams on
has anyone converted their bike from the orange standard (halogen?) lights to xenon lights dipped? as these stand out much more |

You do not need HID lights on your 125cc, single cylinder, barely doing 60 mph, motorcycle.
If you want to do as much as possible for your safety, use Hi-vis vest. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

How often do you ride at night on unlit roads? ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

i dont use high beams at night unless an unlit road, i only used them as was mentioned by a few big bikers that they use them when it is sunny,
either way not going to win this debate so high beams will be off from now on , will just make sure when/if i get a big bike it has xenon lights (as you notice them far better from a distance and they look better ) |
