Gonna have to give a timeline of events here:

- Bike first cuts out when doing a bit of pre-CBT training, Battery gets charged, everything seems fine.

- Complete CBT, go for a short ride the next day (approx 20 minutes), park it up, about 1-2 hours later it doesn't start up again.

- Gets taken for an electrical diagnostic test, get told the regulator is f**ked.

- New (OEM) Regulator fitted. Everything seems fine; go for another ride (30-45 minutes) and it goes again. Get told the battery may be goosed too.

- New battery. Once again everything seems fine, Passes MOT and I rode it for a few hours on Saturday, I get it home, test the voltages and it's all good.

- Go to work today, has a little trouble firing up but it does after 2-3 attempts. 30 minutes later, stopped at a junction and bam, it cuts out again.

- I proceed to curl up in to a ball and cry for a few minutes. (May or may not have actually happened)

Worth Noting:
- When the bike is at tick-over (no throttle), the battery is being drained rather quickly.
- Charge does get in to the battery (approx 12.5-13.5 V) when revs are applied

I'll have to check the handbook when I get home, but it tends to tick over at 1100-1200 rpm

EDIT:
A quick bit of research is saying it should be upward of 1500 rpm give or take. But I'm fairly sure that even at that amount of revs the battery will still drain

so it cuts out when the engine is running? or does the battery keep going dead and it wont turn over anymore?

Yeah the battery goes dead and it won't start again.

did you check if there is any current "leaking"?

best way to check is when bike is turned off, disconect the negative and put a amp meter between the negative of your battery and the lead that normally attached to this negative..

if the bike is off and it has no alarmsystem, this should read 0

if its not zero then the current is going somewhere, draining the battery.

You should note that with the bike turned off the battery should be at 12.5V or so anyway.

When at some revs, I'm not so sure of 125s but, I'd expect a voltage around 14 - 14.5 V

Seeing as you've replaced a B82reh and the reg/rec, I suggest you test the stator next. Do you have a voltmeter? I'd get it set to AC and check the voltages coming from that, on my bike I was getting over 60 V AC (IIRC) from each of the phases when I last checked.

+1 for checking the stator windings.

Disconnect the reg/rec and lable the 3 yellow wires coming from the stator as A, B, and C.

Check the resistance of each pair - A and B, A and C, and B and C - they should be roughly the same.

Also check the resistance between each individual wire and earth - should be infinity. Check you have a good earth on the reg/rec and the frame, engine and battery negative.

Also check the condition of the wires as they leave the generator housing, and the condition of both parts of the reg/rec connector block.

Sometimes when the reg/rec fails, it will allow the battery to drain back through the stator windings, and you can feel them getting warm. In some cases, this can cause the soldered joints to melt, or the windings to burn-out.

A faulty reg/rec can damage the stator and the battery, a faulty stator or battery can damage the reg/rec - it's a vicious circle.

It's back in at the garage for another diagnostics test, dropped it off Tuesday morning. Hopefully they'll actually get to the bottom of it this time.

buy a multimeter, even a cheapo one will help you, also a wiring diagram.

I wonder if the charge system wires to the genny are bad??
