Head Swap Yamaha Majesty 250 scoot

Replacing cylinder head on Yamaha Majesty 250, replacing as one of the studs snapped, too short, can't drill. Managed to get a good replacement head for £35 delivered.

As it's a single cylinder, I think ...

1) Whip off carb and ancillaries, it's liquid cooled.
2) Undo tensioner
3) Remove chain sprocket and allow chain to slip off
4) Undo head in right order.
5) Remove head
6) Clean faces and fit new gasket
7) fit head and guide chain through

Then reverse etc.

Where will the bottom end timing mark be? I haven't looked as yet, wanted to ask before I start tearing it apart.

Check for small circular plug on the side (typically with a groove in it, suitable for turning with a coin). Should have visibility onto something crank-attached with a mark for TDC.
