Hey I got a Peugeot vivacity 50cc moped it's my lil bros he had problems with it before such as loss of power while ticking over but now it won't start at I have locked it over but I can't understand why it's not running it has a spark (fitted New spark plug) it has fuel going to carb also (recently new carb gleaming) full tank the only thing is that there are no electrics but I found out that a bunch of wires aound but not going to the starter have been melted so I cut and crimped them back together now when I kick it the fuel light glows but not sure if that happened before none of the lights work the batter has 5v in it i fitted a new batter and rectifier before it stopped staring but that did nothing please help!

If it has a fuel pump it probably needs electrics or it won't go Thinking
Or was it running OK before without?

Have you got to the bottom of the attempted spontaneous combustion?
It sounds a bit hazardous unless you keep it in a field away from other items.

Your issue is initial spark

or a fuel delivery issue

check all hoses, vacs and your pump

It's the circuit to the spark plug.

Some wires were melted and you replaced them (what caused that???-best find the source of that problem?). Check over your repair. Multimeter, continuity etc-you know the drill. Boring, but necessary.
