The bikers on my estates are like dogs, we all have our own lamp-post. Territory marked and all.

However, tonight a wild cock nose scooter rider has appeared and has decided to steal my lamp post in exactly the same spot I've parked it for almost two years.

This forces me to park my bike at a dodgy angle where the large metal communal bins can easily hit my bike with a little bit of help from wind.

I'm feeling very disgruntled by the whole situation and probably need to take it upon myself to go and engage in calming methods such as aligning pebbles in order of colour and size.

tl;dr dik'edd nicked my only decent parking spot what do

How should I deal with this?

Laughing Laughing Half fucking tempted. He's got an oxford chain & a cover though, would probably be a bit tricky.

Bloody cheek though, his shitty moped thing can fit in a smaller spot that I can't fit my bike into on another lamp post next to another bike.

Lmao that's not a bad idea. I didn't check if the fucker was alarmed.

What if he starts setting mine off though in retaliation Thinking

Slash his tyres, brake fluid on his paintwork, potato up the exhaust. That'll teach him a valuable life lesson. You'll be like the father he never had.

It's frustrating isn't it. We are so creatures of habit.

When I was commuting to London on the early train, all the same people used to sit in the same seats. If someone came and sat in 'their' seat it really used to piss them off. Some would stomp off up the train. Others sit across and glare at the interloper. Funny as fuck. Laughing

Buy another bike, then you can leave it chained to the lamp post, thus reserving your spot. [/viz]

Hold on guys sorry to bump my own thread but the plot has thickened.

Tonight the cover on the parking spot thief's bike has come half off exposing the rear wheel and the exhaust.

Yes the guy is still in my parking spot, but what's more interesting is it's a fucking Ninja 300. Of all bikes.

The rear rim looks identical to mine and the exhaust is unmistakably a stock ninja 300's exhaust. It has green rim tape which means it's a Kawasaki. Also the outline of the headlight is visible through the cover and it looks like a 300's headlight.

I haven't seen the bastard move that bike at all over the past couple days.

Why is this faggot copying me? Are they going to slowly move into my house, steal my job etc?

Or is he waiting to steal my shiny exhaust? Neutral Neutral

Are you sure it's not your bike and you've just become absent minded? Have you checked the reg. It might be your bike. When you're at work and you look out of the window, is his bike parked in the your work car park?

Maybe you're just mental?

I know what a doppelganger is but so long as it doesn't lead to my bike being nicked I don't care if they copy me. (Also so long as I get my parking spot back then it's fine they can copy me)

buy a crappy extra bike, there is a tree outside my house, I have a bike, wife has a bike, and we have a spare bike, thus nearly always securing tree to lock our bikes too.

Yeah, and I have some more bikes in the front garden, but never mind them. Very Happy
