hi guys

I have a Yamaha YBR 125 2010. The engine light has come on but it is not flashing, its just a constant light that comes on when I turn the key in the ignition.

The engine light comes on for about 3 seconds then it goes off (all the electrics go off). It has just had a new ignition switch but wondering if its not been put in properly or the connection might be loose?

I can't find a full list of the management codes or what they mean!

many thanks for your help!

fran

Hi

sorry if I wasn't clear in the original post.

I've left it for a couple of hours and just tried again - all that happens is I turn the engine on, the management light comes on for 3 seconds and then the engine cuts out and the light goes off.

When I got the bike out earlier I hit the ignition button and the engine came on for two seconds then cut out and the management light came on then. I can't remember how long it came on for though because it just started to rain so I decided to put it away anyway.

I was just wondering if what I've described above sounds like a flat battery?

if the electric start can turn the engine over it can run the ECU.

2nd result under 'ybr fault codes'
