Hi all,

I have a Honda CBF 125 2013. I have to push start it everyday. During the first 10 minutes of the ride the engine keeps cutting out if I don't keep the revs high. After about 10 minutes it seems to go away.

Not sure what is causing that problem.

Any advice will really help.

Thanks.

Sounds likely.

Don't guess, diagnose. Get a cheap £5 multimeter and measure your battery voltage with the engine off and with it running.

If it's a wet cell battery, check the level of electrolyte in the cells and if necessary top them up with distilled water which you can get from most supermarkets, garages or Halfrauds. Google for how.

If you're doing short trips, slap a charger on it and get it fully charged up. If you do end up replacing the battery, get a charger and charge it up anyway - you want to get it fully charged and keep it that way.

Thank you so much for your help guys. Your input really means a lot. I have been struggling to get help elsewhere. I was quoted 70£ + VAT just to diagnose the issue - Unbelievable!

Thanks again. Much appreciated.
