Hi all, just bought a 97, 600 bandit which has been in storage for the last 5 years, in the process of putting it back on the road.

I'm having a problem with the rev counter not working nor the neutral light or oil pressure light. I've checked the fuses and bulbs all is ok. These items are on the same circuit as the indicators and they are working fine. Any ideas before I start disecting the wiring loom?

Thanks
Kris.

Sounds like a dodgy connection to me ... I'd take the connectors apart, squirt them with WD40 and put them back together ... should sort the problem.

All the best ... Barry

I have the same problem and tried this but it made no difference. Any other suggestions?

Unfortunately not.

If I did have one, what should I do?

There's a large earth junction in the loom up at the headlight that can only be found by un-taping the wiring loom. This sometimes rots and the wires break loose, especially if the bike is or has been fitted with different headlights. Normally it's protected by being inside the headlight bowl but fitting smaller lights leaves it exposed to the elements and damp gets in.
