I use FCPX. Was trained on FCP 6 at university but just got into using X for the ease of quick editing with straight off the camera footage. Have used it for many a paid project. Magnetic timeline is handy at times and I'm used to it now. Background rendering is very useful and works well with my Canon XF100 files. Use it for on-location video editing, quick ride footage edits and longer documentary film-making.
Try experimenting with the motion tracking function in After Effects. ____________________ Yamaha RXS 100 > Honda CD 250 > Honda Hornet 600 > Honda CBR 600RR > Yamaha RXS 100 > Kawasaki ZX6R J2 > Yamaha FZ1 |

I have an older version of Adobe Premiere and it still takes some beating, I was impressed by the free version of Da Vinci resolve:

You can spend many hours just getting to grips with different software though.
Agree Cyberlink is easier and useful, also gopro studio is easy and free. |

Have a go with openshot.
Is free.
A tad unstable on my system (mint Debian) but it's the price you pay for using unstable OS repositories. Not really a big problem, I just make sure I save regularly.
You can make it work with most things, it can import effects filters from other software too.
Don't know if it can motion track but fuzzy overlays are a relative piece of piss. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

That's the shit right there!
Drives me mad trying to track reg plates in Go Pro footage, to the point that I can never be arsed doing the video in the first place because I know how bad that can get, especially tracking multiple plates / faces, etc.
Nice one |
