leaking front door.

My front door has started leaking between the black seal and the bottom of the door. Ive put a load of grease on top of the seal to try and stop the water is this going to work or is it new seal time? You can see in the pic the water on top of the seal thanks.

isnt the rain suppose to run off the brass strip?

So the rain now is getting past the brass strip an sitting on the seal..

am i thinking about this wrong?

A seal cant cost that much though, even just to check

Just replace the seal. Pennies worth.

Top tip: Apply either washing up liquid or silicone lube to the bit of the seal that pushes in before you start or it's a total pain in the arse. I've been fitting new seals to all my windows and it makes it WAY easier.

You probably knew but the brass-looking channel should have two or more small drain holes which can easily block.
Doesn't sound like that's the issue here though.
