I've already posted about this but I'm absolutely desperate now!! I can't work without this bike and I've been of work for 1 week !!

Big thanks to all that commented before

The bike is growling after about 3000rpm.. there is a massive lack of fuel coming through. . Plugs are bone dry and slightly white..

Here's what I've done already..

New fuel

Taken out fuel tap and cleaned

New fuel filter..

Completely cleaned carbs and took out jet and pilot jet and took apart floats and blowed through..

The carbs are filling up properly with fuel..

Checked diaphragms and needles and took of air box to see that they are rising properly..

New manifold rubbers

New plugs and good spark

(If it was coils or plugs the plugs would be wet but they are bone dry)

Check the tank breather and took off tank cap to make sure there wasn't a vacuum stopping the fuel leaving the tank

Fuel pump is working great and priming fine and feels like there is good pressure

I LITERALLY CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE

I'M SO DESPERATE ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

I've only got 1 local dealer that I could limp the bike to but he is fully booked for 2 weeks

The bikes a cbr600 1987

When I put new manifold rubbers on the bike was running absolutely fine so i turned her off.. went and put my leathers on.. come back and now hardly any fuels getting through

have you tried a gravity feed from tank straight to carbs cutting out the pump

Not yet I'm just in the process of doing that now.. I'm just making up a bottle..

It seems more like the problems between the float chamber and the piston..

I willing to try anything at the minute lol I'll let you know how the gravity feed goes

Many thanks

like a lot of these things its a process of elimination , cutting out the pump with the gravity feed can eliminate a stage at a time , is the tank itself creating a vacuum ( breather pipe blocked)sorry matey just read your previous

The pumps are a known problem area, shared with the Africa Twin. I have about 4 old knackered ones buried in the garage plus a Mikuni vacuum replacement (also played up in the end) and finally ended up with a solid state aftermarket replacement.

Humour me. Check the charging system. Multimeter on the battery, how many volts are you seeing at around 3000rpm?

I'll check the charging system first thing in the morning.. I have just put a new battery on it 2 days ago and I did have a problem with the alternator that just turn out to be that I had accidentally un plugged it whilst working on the bike..
