Posted: 17:50 - 29 Feb 2016 Post subject: Tyre size thread again |
 |
|
I said this a while ago in some thread, but looking at new tyres soon.
Haven't actually been riding as much as I thought I would so the tyre change has come later than I expected.
Also I just haven't been paying attention at all to the tyres. I was running the rear at 21 PSI without realizing oops. Probably why these shitty hard tyres are worn in the middle down to less than 1mm tread.
Anyway, the tyres I want (Pilot road 3s) don't do a 140/70 rear size which is the stock tyre size for the Ninja, so I'm wondering if a 150/70 rear will be okay?
Also, the front is a 110/70, should I keep that the same size or scale it with the 150 rear and go up by 10?
Thanks mr bcf. |

150/60 would be an acceptable alternative size to use.
Keep the 110/70 on the front.
What width is the rear rim? ____________________ Suzuki GT250 x7------- Fazer 600------CB250RS------Aprilia Rally 70----- Bandit 600

I'm starting to think stock sizes on Rosso II's would be better than mixing up tyre sizes with Road 3's. Might just go stock sizes on Rosso II's. My friend runs Rosso IIs on his Duke 390 and says they're brilliant.
Either way they're better than stock "IRC Road Winners" even though they might not be as good as Road 3's in the wet. It's summer soon...
