I'm in the process of sorting my 125. Cosmetically I'm happy, but a better front brake and firmer forks for road use would be a good move, depending on if my other changes make it much faster or not I spose?

I'd like to get some crash bungs, to go with my bar end and fork sliders. Braided lines and then I'd say she's near enough done

MOT is due, I always get a little paranoid when it comes around, so dread all the things I've been ignoring, no matter how many and eventually set out to fix them.

I've let my chain get a little rusty (On the plates, rollers seem okay) so I'm going to change the sprockets and chain in the next week or so. Also think it's coming due for valve clearance check, which I'm not looking forward to due to having no indoor space to work in. Probably going to need some new tyres soon, too.

Cables could probably do with being lubricated, and there is a hairline crack in the nose that I need to repair/replace the fairing on.

Cosmetically I'd like to buy replacement fairings and tank and change the colour of the bike to orange (Whilst retaining the originals just in case I get bored)

The only things I've done to really change the look but which also enhances things on a practicality level is to add a belly pan which also gives a little protection and to fit bar end mirrors which look so much better than stock and now I can see behind rather than elbows.
I've been toying with the tail tidy idea but the only real option is from R&G and for what it is and the fact that its purely cosmetic, it's piss take money.
I have the resources to design and fabricate one, even the means to have it electro-dipped and sprayed but by the time I get round to it, I may well have traded in.

X5 is spot on.

1100 has less than perfect carburetion but is otherwise spot on. New tubes and needles when I can be bothered.

400 just finished, rides well but needs dyno time to perfect.

YR5 probably still works, have Cush drive and tacho drive leak to sort.

No more mods to do on the Fazer, although ideally I'd like to shorten the exhaust link pipe for perfection, but that's only a cosmetic thing. Needs a service, tyres and a glitchy low rpm running problem sorting out, booked in for 11th April for all this.

Striple - had a can on order, but after a month, they emailed to say they don't do that one anymore Mad so need to look for another. Thinking about bar end mirrors and a tail tidy, and need to soften the suspension settings a bit but otherwise, all sweet Smile

- rebuild original forks and replace the rough ones I got off eBay
- vinyl wrap or repaint or replace the tank/air scoop/ maybe headlight brackets as they're scratched

Or sell it as is Laughing

Crash bungs are essential on a naked IMO.Got R&G ones on my ZX-7R and would fit them to any future purchase i make if they did not have them.

Got R&G everything else on the bike, just overlooked on the frame sliders, Going to dig out the ECU Monday and send that off for a rework... Laughing

I keep swearing not to mod my bikes after losing money when selling them. However, after purchasing a 2010 Ducati Monster 1100 I've gotten a little carried away:

Already Installed:

Tail Tidy
Termignoni Exhausts
Seat Cowl

Purchased, waiting to Install:

7x5 Number Plate with GB Badge
Bar End Mirrors
Tech Spec Tank Grip Pads
Ducati Performance Seat (lowers 20mm and less sliding about)
CNC Shorty Levers
EvoTech Crash Bobbins
BiTubo Steering Damper
Renthal/Tsubaki Sprocket and Chain Kit (although considering exchanging it to go 4 teeth up in the rear to smooth gearing)
Instrument Cover to Remove Token Bikini Fairing

On the List:

1100 Evo Rear Sets to Replace Stock Silver Chicken Wings
Powder Coat Wheels Black (or purchase new black rims)
Ohlins Rear Shock
Front Suspension Rebuild and Tune
Woodcraft Clip Ons (maybe)
SpeedyMoto Triple Top Clamp
Front/Rear Spindles
Oberon Clutch Slave Cylinder
SpeedyMoto Quiet Dry Clutch Cover (I might be the only one who thinks it sounds like a bag of spanners)

I'm sure even after all that I'll find something else to mod. It's an addiction!

Finally manged to get more or less on top of general maintenance, so now its onto "things I really should do but aren't currently affecting the bike":

Replace the exhaust - I suspect some of the rattling to be from a loose baffle or similar in the exhaust, if not...I'll have a spare exhaust!

Replace the clutch cable - Nothing wrong with the old one as far as I can tell, but it's one less thing to fail.

Replace the clutch plates - again nothing wrong, but I want the practice and I have no idea when (or even if) they have been done before

Replace Front Tyre - not urgent but I need to get some weights and figure out a way to spin the wheel for balancing.

New Valves?- Replacing the tappets yesterday, there is still a slight mismatch between one of the valves and the tappet, so I guess its the valve which is a bit worn. When I get to this I guess I might as well do a whole top end rebuild as I will have to take it all apart anyway. Not wild about the idea so I'll put it off till I have a 2nd bike I think.

Replace Spark plug - Must get that correct socket today!

EDIT: Also replace oil in front forks

Most of mine are sorted, but I'm always finding things that need doing.

Need a rear shock with some damping for the CBR, new front wheel bearings for one of the Superfours, and a bit of a Easter Bunny resurrection magic applied to the Monument.

Not to mention a lot of riding. Need more sunny riding.
