Anyone use these, and do they help with cold fingers? Also any DIY solutions being used?

I used to have one fitted to my clutch lever on my Africa Twin to stop the metal pulling heat out of my fingers when riding round town and the clutch was in constant use. Made a big difference to me anyway.

Bought some recently for my Versys for the same reason but the thing just tore when trying to get it over the lever ball end. I will try again with the remainder of the pair, perhaps after warming it up thoroughly this time.

How about a length of heat-shrink from Maplins (or work, if you're fortunate)?

We just wrap everything in electrical tape at work. Was thinking of wrapping the levers in tape but thought it might not be that effective.

If it's the same sort of temps early next week (about 5 degrees) I'll order some, as I've started getting a tingling in my fingers which lasts the day Confused

The same as half the people (if not more) who ride through winter, haven't seen any muffs or heated grips at college.

I manage fine through the North London mountain range all winter, snow every day, even in summer and up hill both ways.

Electrical tape will likely ooze adhesive and unwind itself. Heatshrink stays put but you'll need a few layers. Foam sleeves like grip puppies feel horrible and are fatiguing to use. Silicone sleeves are least shit if you can find them.

My sister found me some randomly, perhaps intended for pedal iron. Probably from a belgian market stall. I see these from time to time on ebay whikst searching other items, perhaps m&p or wemoto also helpful.

Do these interfere with the clutch lever, I'm guessing you adjust your clutch cable once fitted?
