I passed my mod 2 today and am now officially safe on the road. Nearly punched the examiner though cheeky so and so. I'm all for constructive criticism but being a sarcastic twat doesn't work for me. He took me down some lanes which my instructor said for the speed he wanted out of me would of been for a more advanced rider. He then said the ride was boring he followed me in a car so yes it was boring for him!

Anyway I passed so out on the road now. Laughing

Congratulations, it's a great feeling isn't! I did mine last week and am still grinning ear to ear Very Happy

As for the ride being boring, what an odd comment to make, surely he was the one telling you where to go?

Examiners just pissed he's stuck in a cage (bikes probably being repaired) while he's having to follow you around on two wheels enjoying the weather. The sun gets to everyone somehow, that and the fact examiners are opinionated and are gods very own gift to the biking world, give me my certificate and bore off.

Perfect day for it.

At the risk of sounding a bit thick I think it's a twin. It's a 2005 model after I did my cbt the 125 wasn't doing it for me so I did my training on this bike (cbf 600) and my tests. It's taken me a while but got there in the end.

It's an inline 4. Perfectly fine, smooth and revvy, I was just wondering if you'd considered twin cylinder alternatives like an ER-6 or SFV650/Gladius. Generalising a bit, but twins tend to have more low down torque and don't need revved as hard to make progress, at the cost of feeling a bit more agricultural. No big deal, <EXTREME MANSPLAINING>you've made a decent choice</EXTREME MANSPLAINING>, but it might be worth considering some alternatives when you're thinking of changing. There are so many fun bikes out there to try.

Okay now I do feel thick. Rolling Eyes I've stuck to this one for know because I know it. My plan was to get on the road and get some experience then move on. I know the cbf in 2005 is considered a bit dosile but it suits for now. Thanks for the suggestions. Be interested to know what you think of the triumph street triple. This is on my possibilities list.

I passed my test last week and bought a Street Triple R
It's an absolute dream to ride great around town and even better on the twisties.
BUT be very careful it keeps telling me to go faster!!!!!! Shocked
