He is a sperge.

Stop typing. Go riding.

You might write the thing off in the first week or so - what would be the point of a well adjusted air filter then? Just ride it.

At any rate air filter is all of a tenner probably, new plug 2 quid, oil less than a fiver. An hours work if you're not sperging. If you've got to do something because OCD sperge, do that lot and worry about clearances later (or don't worry. Very unlikely to be an issue anyway).

I am not a 'person'. I am not of this physical domain.

See, often times I find myself and my spirit meandering across the barren wastelands of these biker forums and it reminds me of days long past when I was but a mere mortal who exploded in to consciousness on a whim from makers beyond the abyss. Young and naive...those days have long passed and I've since ascended to my ultimate form, regularly traversing the chasms and voids that exist between your plane of existence and my own. In doing so I find I unearthed a profound truth : I am not from this domain. I am a spirit, sent here to punish the gods of the land and upheave the lies that taint the soul of my ancestors. This bike nonsense is just a decoy.

Seller assured- there's been nothing done, except for an oil change.

I am not OCD, nor' am I a spergy wergy.

I am just a tad nihilistic, with a stoic past.

Could it be... fix once broken?

With the air filter it depends on how long it is left. Some bikes are known to toast the air filters (GPZ500 does it occasionally), and which point having a large hole in the filter doesn't do much filtration.

Valve clearances vary. If they open up you will lose power, and probably wear the valve train a bit. If they close up then you will probably burn out a valve.

All the best

Katy

Service shows they should be getting a checking/adjusting every 2.5k, the bike in question hasn't had any 'service' -dealer or private- except only for oil change and rear tyre... and is at 7.5k.

Must do valves?

Avoid altogether?

What bike needs its valves adjusting (or even checking) at 2.5k?
