I've ordered from wemoto before, came the next day and I got free wemoto themed post-its lol.

You can save a few pennies scrabbling about on eBay but WeMoto offer a decent service and I don't mind paying (a bit) for it.

Wemoto must be one of the biggest bike part suppliers in the UK, and for a reason too. They're not the cheapest, but they're always very quick, and I've never had a wrong part delivered.

I had a DID Chain that died in <1000 miles that they supplied (I bought sprockets from them too, so not worn ones or anything that caused it), they replaced with their favoured 'Swift' brand, still on the bike now a few K later. Good service. I should add, I didn't actually fit the chain for three months so really good service for that time period.

Tend to buy consumables from them, as they are always exactly what I ordered.

For long life get DID X ring vx2 is the chain I favour fit 2/3 a week

I did, that was the one that died, stretched severely on a Euro jolly in a week. The Swift Heavy Duty hasn't needed adjusting.

I have had the DID before on a Fireblade and it was fine. Go figure!

If it was a VX you should have backed it there is a garentee on them I bet it was a DID HD non x ring if it wore out that fast assuming you did lub it

It was an X ring and both chains were treated the same in terms of lubing. Always easy to blame poor maintenance though isn't it? Rather than an actual part failure? Even if it wasn't the X ring, it still shouldn't fail that badly in under 1K?

Funnily enough the VX2 was the same one that died prematurely on me last year too - although it was after a few thousand miles; not quite so early.

Considering I maintained that one well though and my last chain got 25k with much neglect; wasn't very impressed.

I did fit another VX2 since and it been fine so far though, so I can't pass much judgement on them really.

OP; I was going to say "can save a bit on ebay vs wemoto" etc, but judging by wots story, sounds like they're pretty decent customer-service wise Thumbs Up wemoto it is next time.
