Weird one, ever since replacing my clutch plates + springs my clutch sticks after a period of time. If I start the bike in the morning or after X amount of hours, pull in the clutch and drop down to first it starts moving with the clutch held in.

Because of this my starting routine now involves putting the bike on the side stand, putting it in first and giving it a few blips of the throttle until the back wheel stops moving - that way I don't get dragged down the road Laughing

The internetz says change oil and see whether that helps but I changed it when I did the clutch job - I used the same grade just a different brand.

I don't want to replace the oil to find the problem still exists.

Any ideas? Thumbs Up

Bike is a CB400SF NC31 F2N

What exactly was the oil you put in?
Also what`s the tick over / idle speed ?
Did you soak / coat the plates with oil before fitting?

Motul 5000 Semi-Synthetic 10W/40, I usually use Silkolene Super 4 10w40 Semi Synthetic

Sounds ok, also is the oil level not to high ?
Is the clutch biting with the lever half way out or where?
