Ok so I passed my full test about 3 months ago (best day ever) and have been riding a Fazer 600 for the last month (best month ever).
Ok now for some venting, my collegue in work is the kind of fella who if you say you saw a black cat, he's seen two, annoying AF. When i first started my DAS I trained on a Bandit 650, so I would be in work the next day buzzin my t#ts off saying how amazing it was riding this bigger bike and he would just reply with good arnt they (at this point the wind has now left my sails), even though i've known this fella 14 years and never as he mentioned being a biker, and when I had my 125 he was too pussy to ride that, excuse being he's probably forgotten how to ride. He comes out with these overly exagerated BS biking stories from his past that are hillarious and offers rediculous biking advice. So thats some of it out of my system, sorry about this Very Happy
Does any body else no any one like this, or does the universe just hate me haha?!

You get people like this all over the place.

"Oh I used to do the doors years ago, fought a hundred pikeys single handed one night"
"I used to ride back in the day, could have beaten Rossi back in my prime"
"Yeah I used to train had to give up due to *insert bullshit excuse*"

My usual response is that's nice mate Thumbs Up and then ignore any further yarns they come out with.

Just embrace their bullshit and enjoy the yarns they make up.....

YOU know its BS, everyone else knows its BS, but these poor fuckers believe half the shit they spout out........ until you ask them about it a month later, and then it becomes something totally different.....

It actually tickles me Laughing

some men feel like the way to get a favourable response is to big themselves up, some of them are complete dicks but some do it because they're a bit too insecure or introverted so they blurt out complete rubbish trying to prove that they are in the same club as you. I've seen it several times.

Haha, he's 40 this guy, and one of his yarns was that he was in the Paras and had done 13 jumps, when I asked someone who had known him since he was 18 he told me he had done basic Army training and quit after 4 weeks. Kind of feel sorry for him, but sometimes you just cant be arsed with the BS. Honestly I could write a book of his tales, hilarity. Very Happy

Do we work together? Razz Guy I work with has army fantasies, also told us how he used to have a ducati. On his a CBT through work he did an unintentional wheelie, lost his bottle and walked off. Of course he told us they were getting him to do a u-turn in 70mph winds.

He's been caught out so many ways its hilarious. Said he was in a band, someone got a video up of the band and asked where he was. He was called out on his army career when he picked out his uniform in a surplus store... a soviet uniform Smile

I knew someone like him. When I told a friend and moaned about it, the friend told me off and said, "No, don't get annoyed with him, treasure him, see how wild you can get the stories to be, feed him things he can expand on, nurture him, use him for entertainment."

Some hilarious replys here, im enjoying reading them. Very Happy . I might add, he is actually a really nice fella, he just lets himself down with the extreme BS.
Another golden yarn was a tale of riding a couple of hundred miles on the Isle of White in snow and ice, and when he got to his destination some woman had to poor warm water over him because he was stuck to his bike in the riding postion and couldnt get off, hahahaha!

humerous. There's a bloke at my work who spouts the same sort of junk. He interrupts me mid-sentence to say how he did what i was talking about but better, and on a bigger bike, faster, with the girlfriend on the back. Even to the point where I was saying how shit I was at something, and he chimes in to say he's much worse than me.....

My favourite was a guy that rocked up on here spouting off that he had an R6 in defence of the fact he was riding some POS 125 that had been bodged half to death.

Then later he bigged himself up as some close protection security geezer for the rich and famous.

Seriously, you couldn't make it up.
