Fuckin gurt velocity stack on the carb, bent up some plates to fit behind the stack and then bulge out to cover the battery box/indicator relay. ____________________ Bikes: too many, too much for one man to maintain anyway. |

Keep up the great work. |
A few, I like doing CGs as full builds as the bike is simple and I know them well. However I do spread my wings a bit when it comes to diversity. I'm a fan of nicking other bits from higher end bikes and fitting them to base bikes. A few Frankensteins:

Diversion 600'R'. A timing advanced, 4-1 performance piped, over carbed, Thundercat suspended Divvy on some sticky rubber.
The 'other' CG:

An extreme cafe racer with keyless hidden ignition, nothing that wasn't needed. Apart from a steering damper.
The sleeper GSX:

Stock bodywork, different front end, different engine, different rear end. 1156cc Bandit motor running RF900 adjustable suspension on modern rubber.
The halo bike:

Built to run a 9 second 1/4 mile. Huffing on a Garrett t25/28 hybrid turbo, 210rwhp, 159lb/ft.
The nitrous Bandit.

My friend crashed his Bandit12 about a month before the Bulldog. The bike was okayish, but had hit the deck at 90. We had intended to convert it to a nitrous drag bike before, but there was a bit more work to do. The bike would go on to run a mid 10 gagging on a 75hp shot on a custom built 8" over arm. Not bad considering he still had a broken wrist.

There are many others. This is the first time I have taken on a paid commission, so the stops are truely fucking out.
Enough bollocks, moAr sidepanel.

Chappy wanted some numbers on it, 68 being the year he was born. He also wanted it to be the called the BG125 scrambler, which is nice of him as BG are my initials.
There is also a polished stainless strap holding the cables out of the front wheel. Turns out the new owner is not a fan of mudguards. The comprehensive air filter setup is cut out of some tights and elastic banded on, because function, and there is just enough exhaust bandage to stop the exhaust boiling the fuel in the float bowl of the carb. This is a problem also experienced by the TL125.
The seat unit was hit with plastic primer, high build primer, more plastic primer, white, plastic primer, gloss black and then a satin lacquer. The plastic primer is to give some flexibility to the paint, most of these bikes will have cracked seat unit paint almost straight away, as the seat flexes considerably under load. The plastic allows the paint to move with the fibreglass and hopefully will stop it looking like a road map of New York after ten minutes. The big patch on the seat is from the lacquer still curing, I got impatient waiting to get pictures!
Thank you for the positive comments. Although I am being paid to build this and am therefore contractually obliged to finish it, it is always nice to receive encouragement! ____________________ Bikes: too many, too much for one man to maintain anyway. |
