Hello.
I have no power after about 6k revs and I'm struggling to get over 70mph.

After lots of forum search i found posts and videos saying that there is an in-tank fuel filter (like a tea bag) that needs cleaning and that should solve the problem.

I've just taken my tank off expecting to see a fuel pump and filter, and I don't have one!

Also I was expecting to find the primary fuel filter under the fuel tank but there isn't one there! I was expecting it to be connected to the pipe with the pink dots. That pipe runs into the carb.

I've attached some pics.

Thank you for any help.

Steve

If it`s F.I. then it needs a pump to pressurize the system.
Have you any pump noises when switching on or does it have carbs?

I've just got hold of a manual, I'm definitely missing a main fuel filter!

Should I clean my carbs ASAP? Could this have done any damage?

Thanks.

The filter should be at the top of the tap inside the tank, you may have a vacuum pipe attached to the tap as well as the fuel pipe.
The vacuum lets the fuel pee out when the engine is running.
Have you got a good fuel flow if you suck the vacuum pipe and holding the fuel pipe?
You may have a PRI position for the tap, this bypasses the diaphragm vacuum part tap opening.
