Sell, MT09, job done?
Probably an ECU restricted bag of aids. Can always ask a dealer... or even an ECU flashing place |

+1. Dealer, or talk to a local tuning place about fitting a Power Commander of similar which should bypass the buggering if it's purely an ECU restriction.
First thing I'd do though is have a look at the throttle body and see if there's an obvious throttle stop on it. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Hmm, good points. I expect it is doable via a powercommander or similar, I just wonder whether it's worth the effort? Ideally I would like to keep the bike for at least another year or so, but eventually I will want to move it on, and I don't know what the implications would be value wise of a non-approved fix? If there is an 'official' fix, then I'll go with that, if not, I might have to swap it after all.
As for taking the A tests on my bike, yeah, I had considered that actually. Can't imagine they'd question it. Just rock up, do the usual fiddle under the seat jobby, do test, ride home. Would be cheaper than going through a school again and I can't imagine it'd be an issue. ____________________ CBT Acquired: 09/07/2015

I wonder if a hacksaw would be cheaper to buy than a replacement plate ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........
