Need some glue for aluminium to aluminium - bought a cheap shit side stand foot enlarger and don't think the fasteners are up to much, so want a belt-and-braces thang. Cheers.

I think the constant movement and pressure means something like a 3M VHB pad, or permanently flexible adhesive.

A glue that sets hard will crack eventually.

Either way it'll have to be spotless before applying, and oil/water resistant too.

I'd vote for JB Weld, it's about the best in class for epoxy-type glue.

JB weld is good but as said, flexing could crack it over time.
I'd maybe drill a hole and put a countersunk bolt in from below and see how that went.
Failing that, just dump the ally one, make a steel plate and weld the fecker on and have done with it

If you are using "aluminium to aluminium", why not use the same substance as "glue"? Bzz spark bzz job done. OTOH if it's a cheap crap thing why not try it wiith the supplied fixings and see how long it lasts, it may not be a problem.

Aluminium solder... Or get fasteners that do look like they are up to something.

Lumiweld? I'd still be tempted to take it along to someone with a high frequency set and get it welded, for a trivial job like that cost would be similar.... but he bought a cheap foot anyway, so maybe that would defear the object of the exercise....
