Honda NSR 125 left crankcase leak

Hello guys.

Another day, another issue with my NSR.

So, today I noticed a leak coming from a left crankcase. I think it's coolant, it has the same color. I am not sure if the coolant should be there? Pardon my lack of knowledge.

Today I also noticed, that I'm missing a bolt? Look at the pictures that I attached. Is it a matter of a missing bolt or is the gasket faulty?

I swear I had a bolt there before...

That missing bolt looks to be missing a mount for the exhaust.

And thats not coolent, it looks like oil to me.

Oh, the third 'difficult' hole. Yes, thats means your gasket can't work properly because it's missing.

(Mouth and pussy is easy, convincing them to put out up the bum is where it requires persuasion.)

Emm, sorry I have no idea what your last line means Razz

What do you mean difficult?

Yeah, I think that the gasket is not working as intended cause it's missing this "pressure" point.
Are you sure it's the oil? It's dirty in the pic, but I managed to get few drops on the rag, and the color is greenish. Also, the viscosity doesn't seem right for the oil.

Sorry if I'm asking obvious questions.

Thats where the stator plate will be. There won't be any coolant in there. What color is your 2t oil?

It was more focused on the third bit. If you look at your pictures there are 3 threaded holes visible.

The 2t oil is red. I don't think there should be any 2t oil. If it's oil then it should be transmission oil?

Yeah you are right, I should have marked the 'hole' I was talking about. Under the crankcase is the starter.

If it's coolant it won't be leaking from there. There's a water jacket around the cylinder and a pump on the rhs. No coolant there.

Then it's definitely not coolant. Everything around (and above) is completely dry.

So you were right, it was oil. Today I managed to get a new screw, but even after I installed a new screw the oil is still leaking. Not so much but it's "sweating".

I guess it's time for a new gasket Sad

Yeah, there shouldn't be any oil inside. It seems it's leaking from the crankshaft. I'm going to remove the cover and see what's inside.

Could be a failed crank-shaft oil seal (steady now Nobby). If so hopefully it could be changed in situ.

Looks to me like there is a screw missing out of the outer casing , to the left of the hex headed screw in pic 3 and the centre of pic 4 . in pic 3 some oil can be seen on the casing hanging down starting to drip, never mind the boss with no bolt , missing casing screws are never a good idea.
