Bought a little Yamaha YFZ 125r as a stop gap on Monday. All fine on the test ride so parted with the cash.
Went to the fuel station to fill it up on Tuesday. Fueled up, went to put it into 1st and it cuts out. A friend suggested that it was the side stand switch so collected the bike in a van and replaced that. However, it made no difference.
Clutch lever has no purchase (feels disconnected) and still experiencing the same issue. Any thoughts or advice? |

Did he also ask if you wanted the headlamp fluid topped up?
Seriously though, a clutch cable is about the simplest control on a bike (throttles tending to be dual cable and brakes all hydraulic these days.) One end attaches to the lever, the other end to the arm on the engine case, it's very hard to get wrong!
Let's just say if it was me I'd require "further clarity" to the mechanic's statement ____________________ Royal Enfield Continental GT 535, Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |
