Pretty sure that's just the fuel pickup for the fuel enrichment (choke) circuit. If so you have a few choices:
Plug it and suffer the bike not running on that cylinder when you first start up from cold.
Find or make a similar tube, fix the new one in place of the old.
Make a thin brass sleeve and soft solder the two halves together using the sleeve as a joiner. Fix the tube back in with fuel-safe retainer. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

I agree with this 100% - carb is very similar to my (same era) XJ550. ____________________ Now: A100, GT250A, XJ598, FZ750
Then: Fizz, RS200, KL250, XJ550, Laverda Alpina, XJ600, FZS600 |
