I got one off ebay for my NSR. The model I have is restricted in the CDI unit so I put one in from an earlier model! Worked a treat. Very Happy

does anybody know where i can get one from,

also i have been reading up on the ajustable rev limiters with the switch and was wondering if that would work in the same way? so i could limit my engine to say? 10,000 rpm..

any ideas on how 2 either bypass the cdi or derestrict would be great

thanks again

Hi

Think the AP50 was some old sports moped so I doubt the CDI would work. You cannot "bypass" a cdi as it is required for the engine to run (well, unless you have some old points setup).

You are probably best trying a few scooter tuning shops (Taffspeed?) as they can probably advise you.

Not a clue what would be safe revs for your engine, but remember that you need to have the exhaust, porting, carb, igntion, automatic clutch, etc, all complementing each other, and you will not gain much (and may well loose out) if you just change one of these.

All the best

Keith
