Hi All,
Forgive me for asking questions
I have rebuilt the clutch with new friction disc and pressure plate, should i be able to push and compress it when i hold it in my hands, its solid att he moment.
Further questions if i may, i have put clutch hub and drive gear, clutch centre guide bak, when i offer up clutch backet there is barely enoughthreadto geta full nut on, let alone, the locking tab.
I would really appreciate anyones help, i was pleased i rebuilt the clutch, but now a little cheesed off
I have done clutches on cars but never a motorcyle, i so want to get this engine running properly |

I have no experience of getting this deep into one of those but looking at the witness marks on the centre of picture "clutch 2", are you sure that's where it goes?
There looks like a very specific shape of discoloured metal where that's been resting against something which doesn't seem to correspond with the surface it's bearing against in your picture.
As an aside, all of your parts look very dirty for engine internals, there looks to be a lot of particles/dust/grime/hairs/swarf hanging about. All that is going to end up in your engine oil and from there, inside bearings, oil passageways and journals. All those parts should be spotlessly clean. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |

You sure the inner gear is engaging with the clutch plate inner spline? Probably be easier to put the gear in the clutch first, then put it on the shaft? ____________________ CBT: 12/06/10, Theory: 22/09/10, Module 1: 09/11/10, Module 2: 19/01/11
