I can't believe it - as long as Andy and I have been together, one or both of us has owned a two stroke and now it's the end of an era as I've just watched John ride off on my old TZR. If he's half as happy with her as I've been over the years, he'll be a very happy man!
So, a garage with just four-strokes in - I feel strangely grown up now...
Oh well, turning your back on two-strokes is good enough for the likes of Rossi, it's good enough for the likes of me. |

i couldn't bear to part with my dt....so it lives in the corner of the garage as my spare bike.
it just so happens that i have to pull it out of hibernation tomorrow(sat) as the bandit has a puncture and my tyre won't arrive till monday.
i'm quite looking forward to it really ____________________ andy |

Imagine the fuel bill!
sports 750 2 strokes were uncontrolable, they could shred a rear tire in a lap if ridden as close to the limit as the rider would dare. seeing and hearing performance 2 strokes, expecially those of high capacity has become a rare treat now thats to sky high fuel costs and emissions rules.
The noise of a 2 stroke in the powerband and the feeling you get from powerbanding one is an expirence many will sadly never know. Still its all progress and seeing the back of the stinkwheels can only be a good thing in the long run |

As much as 2 strokes are endearing they do have some negatives which are very nasty. sports 2 stroke for winter commuting anyone?
Steam engines are great fun, but not practical hence they have died out and are now a thing purely for pleasure. 2 strokes are slowly but surely going the same way... |
