 Posted: 14:23 - 04 Nov 2004 Post subject: Wobbly handlebars! |
 |
|
In the past week or so, my bike has become more and more wobbly. By that I mean that the handle bars feel like they are going over small bumps or stuck in one of those road ruts (where your bike suddenly gets led in another random direction, usually pointing you across on coming traffic or something stupid).
Does anyone have any idea why this might be? My tyres are definatly wearing very thin, and I'll be changing them at the end of the month. Would this account for the wobbliness? I've had an MoT just 3 months ago whee the wheel bearings were changed, so I'm pretty sure it's nothing like that.
Any help's good help!
Thanks guys! ____________________ What's ya name? What av' ya taken? Chase the lasers, safe as f*ck! |

you mention that the tyre is well worn, with colder roads this will also cause it
i would certainly get wheel checked out, sounds like an off balance wheel to me..

Firstly - aqua, your avatar is fecking scary!
On a more relevent note, it seems McJam was right. Somehow, for at least a few days I've managed to - completly oblivious - ride around with a half deflated tyre! . I mean, not just a bit flat, but so flat that if i push the tyre with my hand i can push it in.
Time to get a new tyre/inner tube me thinks. What a tit!
Thanks for the advise guys, you may have quite litrally, saved my ass. ____________________ What's ya name? What av' ya taken? Chase the lasers, safe as f*ck! |
