My polini 910 (6.2) has now just chewed up its second started disk.

Basically as you start it (ie pulling the start cord) you can feel it jumping then grabbing and of couse as the disk is only plastic the metel bits are diging in and killing the disk.

Anyone tell me what is likely to be causing the problem? Or if you know of metel starting disks. Laughing

The disk was replaced and the bike has been used less that 5 times since this replacment put on as for an idea of how long it hasn't lasted.

I have asked on the minin moto forums but thought I'd ask here just incase anyone has any suggestions.

Just an idea, dont know if it is they same type of system ....
On my Nitro radio controlled car if you flood the engine or dont have the glow plug warmed up tidy theres more shit trying to start it. You try starting it and then it floods and makes it harder to pull the starter handle, i've fecked up one on mine and its a bitch to sort out.

Any thing simular ? Confused

Nah its just the fact the starters made of chocolate.

Been advised to buy a different type of starter assembly. See if I can get one today down at Hullavington.
