2 and a half weeks would be exceptionally quick for them,.....unless they were sending you a Bill or a fine for not declaring SORN or something of course ____________________ Richard

Nah, I don't break any laws of the road
It's like a token of my achievement, and also my main form of ID as I don't like carrying my passport around with me! ____________________ "... I wouldn't mind doing 130 up to a T junction, but unfortunately my bike tops out at 120 which is gay..."

When I pass my test on tuesday Do I need to send off the full license to get valid insurance? So, does that mean, I wont be able to ride until I get the full license back from the DVLA before I can prove to the insurance company that I have a full license? |

No, you can ride straight away, the insurance company like you to do it asap, but "in the post" will do them for a month or so.
Good luck with the test! I may not be about next week much. ____________________ Richard

Excellent, cheers
So, as soon as I get the pass certificate, its haggling time with CIA insurance....and then off home, ready for a nice cold motorway the next morning
Still looking for a second hand set of restrictors though. If you hear of anyone taking theirs out, let me know if you can......for an er-5 obviously.
cheers |

Mine took 2.5 weeks to come through, so their dealing with it don't worry! There just a bit swamped with stuff so things often take a long time to come through.
Interestingly my Insurance company asked what type of licence i had, and thats it! :S They didnt ask if the bike was restricted or not (it isnt and should be), didnt ask to see my licence, MOT, etc :S
I could have lied like a bastard, be 14 without a liecence and still have got them to insure me on it!
Just hang in there its in the post! A Copy of your pass certificate or your driver number is enough for the police, at worst they will ask you to bring in your licence when you get it, but most coppers are fairly understandng that the DVLA like to take thier time |
