The reservoir tank on my bike is empty and I need to fill it up with coolant. Does it matter what kind of coolant I use? I have a bottle of Prestone Antifreeze/Coolant and I was wondering if I could use that and also how much do I put in and how much of it do I have to mix with water?

50/50 mix is yer man Wink Unless the instructions on the bottle specificaly tell you otherwise, I always do 50/50 on the car and bike.

Read the back of the bottle. It should say words to the effect of "suitable for use in aluminium engines", if it does, carry on. It should also tell you on the label how much water to dilute it with for certain temperature ranges, err on the side of a stronger mix. Some are 'ready to use', just put this straight in.

Yes it says it protects aluminum and all other engine metals so that sounds good. I'm going to go do this now. Thanks for your advise guys!
