DIY is the answer.
Take the wheel off and take it to the tyre centre, its much cheaper.
and the brake pads are a doddle to fit, and you can pick 'em up on ebay for a tenner or under, or try www.wemoto.co.uk for pattern parts.
But the biggest thing is you MUST shop around for the best deal on tyres. ____________________ Richard

Hi
My only experience with HH pads on cast iron disks was on the Bimota. They were frighteningly bad, with a hideous amount of wet weather lag before anything happened. I yanked them back out again.
On the other hand I have used the HH pads in the Bandit and the RS125. They were pretty good in the Bandit, but not that much better than standard but in the RS they are superb.
All the best

I always reccomend Carbone loraine SBK 3... better than HH in my opinion. However they do cost even more!
Infact, if a garage fitted a decent rear tyre and those pads, £190 would probably only allow for £10 labour for the pad fitting or something.
The price charged seems about right, presuming you got a half-decent tyre fitted (ie not an Avon etc ) and some ok pads. |
