A friends RS 125 has been blown over in the wind. It has fallen on its left side. We cannot get it into gear at all. Clutch lever feels normal. Any advice??

I presume that's putting it into gear when it's not running? If it's not running the gearbox often won't work very well anyway. If that is when it is running, then I don't think I can be much help.

The Selector shaft is rubbing on the footrest hanger. going to look properly tomorro when its light. Get a blowtorch on it and bend it back into shape.

This can do more serious damage.
It can nock the selector shaft inside the engine, which can mess up the positioning of the selector fork or possible bend them I believe.

If that is the case (nothing else sorts it out) it's going to be a strip and rebuild probably.

Hi

On the late RS125 with the 122 engine it is quite easy to change the gear change shaft and it does not connect directly to the shift drum. No need to split the crankcases, just whip off the clutch cover and it will fall out.

All the best

Keith
