hi all i have fitted my heated grips today to my 50 moped but it makes your battery go flat,
would i be able to fit another battery to my moped but connect it up to the battrey i got already,will that make it 24v and blow everythin? and will the engine be ok with chargin both up,

Hi

If you connected them in series you would get 24v and make a mess of things.

If it is flattening the battery from the grips with the engine running then an extra battery (wired in parallel) would keep them going for longer but would still go flat.

The problem is probably that the charging system has insufficient power to supply the bikes electrical needs as well as those of the heated grips. Without some expensive parts (if available) there is not much you can do about that. Changing to LED indicator and tail light bulbs might save a bit of power and help a little though.

Nifty fifties hardly have enough power to use the lights, you would have no chance of having heated grips on a 50 im afraid, simple really.
