I got a used Suzuki that won't start. Compression seems to be ok doing the "hand over the spark plug hole" and I have a spark but it won't turn over. I inspected the carb and replaced the head gasket but no luck. After repeating kick start attempts it spews out liquid out of the engine exaust before it hits the pipe (right under engine). The liquid seems to be a mix of gas and antrifreeze. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

If there is antifreeze in the exhaust system, either:

1) The cylinder head gasket has blown and needs replacing. (most likley and simple to repair if the head isn't warped/damaged)

or

2) The water jacket has cracked in which case you need a whole new top-end.

Thanks I'll give the cylinder gasket another shot. When I initially replaced it, I found the old one was broken and even a little melted. I'll take extra care to make sure I get rid of all the old gasket this time. Anything else I should be paying attention to?
Thx

When you have the cylinder head all cleaned up, place it flat on a sheet of glass and see if it rocks about. If it isn't perfectly level on the glass, it is warped and needs to be refaced/skimmed.

The old fashioned way for fixing a slightly warped head is to smear some fine grinding paste on a sheet of glass and rub the gasket surface on it in small, random circles being careful not to put downwards pressure on it. After about two hours you will find that the sound changes, the head 'sticks' to the glass and the entire gasket surface has a polished appearance which shows it is now perfectly level (providing the glass was). Rinse ALL the grinding paste off with numerous changes of a solvent such as petrol.

The modern way is to pay an engineer to skim it with a machine.

Ensure the facings are totally clean before installing the gasket and tighten the bolts down gradually in a crosswise pattern using a torque wrench.
