I've been trying it out recently when I fill up, and I think it's made a slight difference. After about three visits to the petrol station, the power delivery feels a little smoother, and the engine seems to warm a little quicker.

Are these common after using it or is just a placebo? Confused

It isnt an increse in performance, just less of a los of performance caused by blocked jets etc.

I recommend it as i use it all the time. But dont put the diesel version in like some fool did a while back.

Yeah. Use it and love it. 2 - strokes love it too. It basically just keeps the jets clean, helping the engine run properly.

I am using Redex in my Honda Rebel, the bike wasn't running all that well but after a dose it's running properly.
Also using shell unleaded which seems to suit all of my Honda's. I've been using Redex for over 15 years, I only
use it when I need to which isn't often. The latest bottle has been in the garage for 5 years.

Is it possible to put a few drops into the carb behind the airfilter?

Why?

That would help clean the carb as it would miss the jets.

I use it when needed and it does make a difference is performance is noticably low.

You mix redex in with a full tank of fuel after filling up but I only use it once a while to get rid of any possible build of crap in the fuel system.

I use it just to be on the safe side, stops any crap building up etc. I think you might notice a differnece on an older bike and if you did a proper clean. (e.g. drip it into the plugs)

Stick 1ml in for every litre of petrol. I just give a quick squirt for my usual 6.5 litre fill up Cool I think it basically keeps everything clean and removes any deposits.

It has many magical poperties ( if you look on the back it does say them all)

In the tank - keeps the fuel system clean

In the air box - cleans the carbs and air intake(?)

In the bores - cleans carbon deposits on piston rings allowing them to work properly = compression back to normal + lots of smoke for a few minutes, coke will do the same thing if left in there for a week (dont blame me if you try it and it doesn't though Razz + dont forget to empty either out before puting the plugs back in too!)...

On the cx it made quite a difference, on the ta its noticable but not allot, i'm sure its just as good as useing optimax or similar...

I get the impression that the older and more simple the engine the more benefit you will get from it, modern bkies will see very little difference afaik.

fuzz - i know somebody who puts a bottle in every other 17litre tank full, does no harm (you can use quite allot more than it says with no problems)
